bRUSHING

Consistent brushing is crucial when it comes to maintaining hand-tied extensions. Failing to brush your hair frequently enough (at least 2-3 times daily) can lead to matting and tangling in both your natural hair and the extensions. Begin by brushing the ends of your hair and gradually work your way up to the roots. Avoid brushing too forcefully over the top of the wefts; a gentle approach is sufficient to detangle any knots.

wASHING

To wash your hair, wet your hair and apply a stylist-approved shampoo to your scalp on top, in between and underneath your rows. Gently scrub in between the rows without aggressively rubbing the extension hair with shampoo. Next, apply a moisturizing conditioner from the roots to the ends of the extensions, being careful not to rub too vigorously. Finally, make sure to thoroughly rinse out all the product from your hair.

bLOWDRY + sTYLING

After washing your hair, gently squeeze out any excess water using a towel without rubbing. Proceed to apply all leave-in products, such as a recommended leave-in conditioning/detangling spray, conditioning cream, and an oil or serum. To dry your hair, you can either rough dry it or allow it to air-dry until it is about 90% dry. Then, use a brush and blow dryer simultaneously, running them from the mids to the ends of your hair in a downward motion to smooth it out. When using hot tools, avoid holding them on your hair for too long, and remember that using full heat on hot tools is not necessary.

bEDTIME

  • Never go to bed with wet hair

  •  Apply serum or oil through ends & brush thoroughly

  •  Tie up in a loose pony, braid or bun

Swimming

  • We strongly advise against immersing your extensions in water while swimming.

  •  It is advisable to avoid using sunscreen that contains avobenzone, as it can potentially cause a permanent tint on your extensions that cannot be removed.
